Lange nichts gebloggt
Das bedeutet garantiert nicht, dass in der Zwischenzeit nichts passiert wäre…
Wieder mal eine sehr interessante Veranstaltung der JUGS, eigentlich zwei, zu Jazz. Anmeldung hier.

Talk: Dirk Bäumer, IBM Rational, Developing Software like a band plays Jazz
In the Eclipse project we were able to ship releases on time year after year.
Like many other effective teams we have adapted and evolved our practices and those we learned from the agile community along the way. At the same time we have found that there are still many pain points when it comes to software development in an agile team.
Being tool smiths ourselves, we have naturally been asking what if we had an integrated tool set to address these pain points.
These explorations eventually turned into the Jazz project, which has as its goal to build a new team collaboration platform.
In this talk I provide an overview of Jazz and show how the distributed Jazz team is using Jazz for developing Jazz and Rational Team Concert Express Express.
Dirk Bäumer is a Senior Software Developer at IBM Rational and currently leads the development on the Agile Planning Component of the Jazz project. On the Eclipse project he is a committer since it began. Dirk has been working as a senior developer on JFace, the generic workbench and the Java development tooling. He led the Eclipse JDT/UI component and was a member of the Eclipse architecture team. His interests are in the areas of user interfaces, integrated development environments and object oriented software architectures.
